I always desired to care for children and create a safe and nurturing environment full of joy and imagination, so I dedicated most of my adult years doing just that, providing care for precious little kids.

Over the course of my career, I realized children and adult needs were similar, we all needed to meet our emotions. What do I mean by meet our emotions?

There would come a time in my adult life I would face a tragic event, the loss of my son Brian. I didn’t know how to express what I needed, and I couldn’t explain how I was feeling. I couldn’t ask for a listening ear to hear my silence or a heart to feel my pain.

As I traveled on this journey, it would take years before I would arrive at a destination of peace and contentment. I hope my book Meet Your Emotions, along with my two volume (4 books) Express Your Emotions, will help families realize that emotions are vital in developing each child’s ability to manage life’s ups and downs and guide behaviors to be the best they can be.
